For me it's the SSR Mk.1 (seen here on a Miata, not my photo)

I love Mustang Bullitt rims and wish I could afford a set to put on my Panther.

All the other wheels that I like the style of are a bit too STANCE YO for Oppo. Even though I despise stance.

SSR Mk1 is indeed one of the best looking wheels available. Among my other favorite wheels are Schmidt TH Line, RS Watanabe, BBS RS and Borrani wire wheels. But there isn't a single wheel that would look good in every car. Wheel has to be carefully chosen. But I think that 99% of all aluminum wheels look horrible and make every possible car look uglier than with decent steel wheels.
Here's one Espada with Borrani wheels:

I absolutely agree that there isn't really a wheel that suits any car, but there are some that fit a great many, the SSR Mk.1 is one of them I think. Simple and elegant.
Gorgeous Espada. Wonder how it would look with those Watanabes...

I don't really know much about aftermarket wheels, but I really like the Tesla Model S's turbine wheel

RS Watanabes under Espada? Would probably look really nice. If I remember correctly their homepage used to have a picture of a Countach with them. It looked pretty awesome.

I have a problem with wheels that have a design with "rotation direction" but both sides still have the same wheel design. Even Porsche decided to save pennies and didn't bother to make separate left and right side wheels.
